Pop Warner is the Nations largest youth Football and Cheerleading Organization.
Pop Warner was founded in 1929, by Joseph J. Tomlin an enthusiastic athlete who
had excelled in sports in high school and college. Pop Warner is committed to
developing America's young people on the field and off. Each year Pop Warner
continues to expand its efforts in team and activity participation, as well as
visibility and outreach in the community. Pop Warner's commitment to academics
is what separates the program from other youth sports around the world.
As an organization, the Motor City Chargers have been associated with the Pop
Warner Association for five years. Although a relatively new team, the Motor City
Chargers have already experienced success winning the Midget South East
Michigan Pop Warner Football League (SEMPWFL) Championship in 2007.
The Motor City Chargers continue to grow with a substantial parental base and
look forward to expanding and experiencing greater success in the near future.
