If you are a Head Coach and have not completed this task, you need to complete this IMMEDIATELY!!!

RECRUITING: At this juncture, due largely in part to the relocation of our involvement, our enrollment numbers are down. It is a must that we begin/continue to recruit participants. We can not have an organization with the current number of participants. Additionally, it will be necessary to impress upon the parents the importance of getting their registration fees paid. We do not want to go into our equipment season with only part of a team uniformed. This registration packet link will provide you with the documentation and additional information about equipment, registration, fees, and forms that need to be completed.

South East Michigan Pop Warner Football League (SEMPWFL): Coaching certification for our league is now available. In order to be a coach for this organization, you must pass a background check, complete the volunteer form, turn it in to Coach Washington, complete the league certification online (http://www.midamericapopwarnertraining.com/), and pay $40 fee. This training must be completed by August 1 or you will be ineligible via the SEMPWFL to coach until the course has been satisfied. Any coaches who have not submitted this form will not have satisfied the requirements to be considered a coach for the season. Your coaching status is being suspended until appropriate documentation has been submitted.

Per the SEMPWFL Commissioner:

NO ONE SHOULD BE INTERACTING WITH THE REGISTRANTS IN A COACHING CAPACITY "OF ANY KIND" WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE ONLINE CERTIFICATION COURSE AND PROVIDED THE PROPER DOCUMENTATION TO BE QUALIFIED AS A VOLUNTEER (SIGNED FORM AND ID COPY).

Unless they have provided Coach Washington with their certificate of completion, and it is verifiable, they shall not be on the field coaching or assisting in any way. The first violation is a fine of $25 to the Head Coach or Interim if the Head Coach is already suspended or absent. The second violation is a suspension of the Head Coach, or Interim if the Head Coach is already suspended or absent. The third violation is suspension for the remainder of the 2011 season for the Head Coach or Interim if the Head Coach is already suspended or absent.

If the SEMPWFL Commissioner visits our field and identifies a questionable person who has not provided Coach Washington with the proper documentation (Certificate of completion, volunteer form, and copy of ID) they will be immediately suspended for the remainder of the football season.

Please don't try to circumvent the system. Let's play by the rules we expect the children to abide by as well.

ALL COACHES: We will be having our final coaches meeting before the season begins on August 26, 2011. It is MANDATORY that ALL COACHES be in attendance at this meeting. This is a regularly scheduled day so your attendance is expected. The meeting will take place after practice on the practice field. Practice will end early on this day.
